What’s the Wall of Fame + NES game mention?
It’s a small twist on an old Nintendo Power standby, the NES Achievers section (later known as The Arena), where top players would have their names and high scores on display for the world to see. To keep the spirit of that section and to add a bit of a personal touch, backers who get their names in the book will also be listed alongside an NES game mention of their choosing. Got a hidden gem you want to broadcast to the world? Or some weird little obscure import? As long as it exists on the NES (or Famicom, or Game Boy), it’s fair game! The names will be arranged on Mario-style bricks.

Why no worldwide shipping?
This was not an easy decision to make, but we’ve had incredible difficulty with worldwide shipping in the past, especially lately with coronavirus and security complications. Far too many orders of previous projects have been returned or outright lost by international postal services, leading to frustration from backers and significant costs on our end to reship dozens of past books (which can run as high as $50 postage for a 2-pound package). We feel that overseas shipping is simply not an acceptable level of reliability from both a backer and a fulfillment perspective. So to lessen frustration, we are shipping Gamemaster Classified to the USA, Canada, and Mexico only. The e-Book will be available everywhere though, of course.

I’d like an e-Book alongside the physical book.
Not a problem! To keep things a little simpler though, we plan on having the e-Book be an add-on upon checkout (when the book releases) rather than having an extra eight tiers or so to include it everywhere. That way, people who want the digital version can get it, and those who aren’t interested don’t have to purchase it.

When and where do I fill out my shipping address?
We’ll send out backer surveys when the book is close to being completed (est. date, Feb 2022). This helps minimize any complications such as changes of address. So just sit tight for now and we’ll let you know when we need your info!

What kind of Player's Pulse question can I ask? Can I post a comment instead?
Keep in mind that these are largely going to be quick, punchy snippets of text, so broad and in-depth questions may not be ideal for this kind of section. As for content, anything video game related is ideal. But do keep in mind that this book is meant for readers of all ages, so let’s keep it E10+! Comments are fine too (shout outs for your favorite games, quirky brief memories, etc) if you don’t have a particular question. A few sentences is fine; similar to the length of this paragraph!

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
